Dog Play Partner Research

Looking for partnerships that would work well with my idea. I did some research into what other dog owners fed their dogs to see if there was any common dog food brands I could partner with. The first article I found was talking about the high prices of dog food, especially for larger dogs and thats only for dry food, wet food is way more expensive.  http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/christchurch-life/eat-and-drink/girl-meets-food/11366376/Dog-food-doesn-t-come-cheap . The writer ended up buying food from the Arcana brand. http://www.stuff.co.nz/auckland/local-news/auckland-city-harbour-news/10547911/Raw-facts-on-pet-food . This article talks about the fact that supermarket brands, more expensive brands and even raw foods don't have much of an effect the health of a pet, how glossy their coat is or anything. So I have decided to stick with a lower cost brand of dog food, one that is known to most if not all dog owners and is recognisable. My choices are between; Purina...

Dogs Play Idea/Critic

Image
I created a dog toy which was a large sturdy machine that had multiple uses and was powered in such a way that dogs could play with it when their owners weren't home. I made it a cute machine which mimics other toys that dogs have. It ejects balls that dogs drop into it from either chute, as well as have housing for two small battery powered mice that the dogs can chase which return to their homes to recharge. It also has a tug-o-war rope at the back for the dogs to tug on as well as a cable to charge with. It was brought to my attention in the critic that the object itself was quite bulky and a bit of an eyesore for a normal home which isn't usually cutesy. Also the tug-o-war and the cable out the back could be confused and end badly. The plastic really needs to be dog proof and very sturdy as not not allow them to push it over. It needs to be waterproof and rechargeable to take away the cable from the back. Dogs also like to work for their food so that should be incorporate...

iFetch is a simple product which a dog drops a ball into the top and it shoots it out so that they dog can play fetch. It comes in three different sizes for different sized dogs, as well as different sized tennis balls for smaller dogs. It has a simple yet effective colour scheme of blue and white as well as the ascetic design is simple, sleek and rounded. https://doggiefetch.com  has a great review of many different fetch toys ranging from automatic ones like the iFetch to ones that are manual but increase the power and throw distance. I noticed that all of these had one thing in common, that they only had one function. So I wanted to expand on this design into have many functions.
